Hello. My name is James Wehmueller and I am an aspiring web designer currently residing in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.
Besides crafting websites, I'm generally into examining maps, riding trains, running 5Ks, identifying flags [vexillology], graphic design and photography, computer technology, travel and exploring cities, and keeping up with the latest in urban planning and development, among other things.

Early in life, my interests were split between the visual arts and the systematic logic of science and mathematics. Initially, this drew me into pursuing a career in architecture, but after working in that profession for some time, I realized that my passions lie elsewhere. Always during this time website design and development had been a hobby, ever since a summer during the mid-1990s as a young teenager when I took my first classes on HTML.

One of my daily thrills, and my primary motivation in life, is to explore and learn new things. As such, I am always expanding my knowledge base, often juggling between several topics at a time.
With my formal education and over 7 years' experience in the architecture field, I developed a strong design sense. With my preoccupation of building websites and learning about the inner workings behind them, I kept abreast with the latest technologies. Bridging these two worlds together in pursuit of a professional career as a web designer is the path I desire to travel.
